Dear Inner Wheel Friends around the world
All Danish Inner Wheel members are very happy to invite you to the 16th IIW Convention to be held during 7
th-9
th of May 2015, in Copenhagen – a city more than 1000 years old and the capital of the kingdom of Denmark. Compared to other metropolis Copenhagen is a small city. Distances are short – in less than half an hour you can travel from the city centre to the countryside. You can reach Copenhagen Airport on non-stop flights from more than 130 destinations, and from the airport, the Metro or train takes you swiftly to the city centre in less than 15 minutes. Copenhagen is a compact city that is easy to navigate. The majority of the hotels and venues are centrally located and most of the sights and attractions are within walking distances.
Come and be charmed by Copenhagen, northern Europe’s cosiest capital, packed with cafés, shops and the best restaurants in Scandinavia. From the winding streets of the beautiful old town and grand royal palaces to the city’s cutting-edge buildings and attractions, Copenhagen is the perfect blend of old world and new. Hop on a bike or stroll the city on foot and take in its laid-back atmosphere and effortless sense of style.
You will have the opportunity to explore Copenhagen and its surroundings. We will organize daily tours, as well as pre and post convention tours under the motto: Meet the Danes. Danish Inner Wheel members will show you their country and you’ll have a unique opportunity to meet the Danes both at work and leisure. We also hope it will be possible to arrange a Rotary meeting for accompanying spouses and friends.
The country is small – the distance from east to west is only 452 km, and from north to south only 368 km, so it is very easy to visit other parts of our country at the most beautiful time of the year.
We all look forward to seeing you in Copenhagen in May 2015
